A centralised portal for the organisation unlocking the healthcare benefits of DNA

Genomics England provide the NHS, researchers and clnicians with access to one of the world’s largest genome databases. Their powerful software tools then help their users to diagnose and develop pioneering new treatments.

We worked alongside the UX researchers and internal communications team to plan the Information Architecture, develop core user journeys and create a vast design system to manage the wide array of content requirements.

The site is built on the Craft CMS, with real flexibility built into the templating language, allowing for just a few modular layouts to create the majority of the content.

Efficiency gains were sought throughout the project, and the website integrates with the GEL project database, publication systems and HR software to ensure external content is always up to date on the live site.
