We’re excited to welcome Oliver Ware to the Mud team as our new Digital Design Director.
An award-winning designer, most recently recognised in the 'Class of 24' BIMA 100, Oliver joins us to complete the agency's new leadership team and to amplify our design work across our digital projects.
With over two decades worth of experience in design, with noteworthy past client work for Rolls-Royce, BMW, Universal Studios, Island Records and Samsung, he joins the Mud after six years working as the Lead Visual Designer at The FA. As the creative lead for their education and training platform - the England Football Learning project - he crafted the digital brand and the user experience, from ideation to delivery, into a powerful digital platform capable of fostering talent and passion for the sport at grassroots level.
Oliver Ware, Digital Design DirectorAfter six incredible years at the FA, I’m excited to step into this new role at Mud to shape the design direction for their digital projects. I’m looking forward to new challenges and creative briefs from their varied client base, and bringing the concepts to life with capabilities of the development team here. It’s an exciting time to be joining an agency where craft and collaboration are valued above all else.
Along with the recent promotion of Meg West to Operations Director, Oliver joins our Creative Director Matt Powell and our Development Director Russ Back to complete our leadership team. This pivotal hire sets us up to be more purposeful and ambitious in our business growth, as we begin to recalibrate our positioning and our brand to shape the next chapter of Mud as a creative agency.

Matt Powell, Co-founder and Creative Director at MudOliver produced some beautiful, functional digital experiences in his years at the FA, but his work across a wide range of design disciplines for both digital brands and products brings new skills into the fold of our small, yet strong design team. It’s a big, pivotal hire for us and we’re looking forward to working together to refocus on what we do best; making work that not only stands out, but stands the test of time too.
